I just ordered this book (finally). I'll be interested to see if he discusses any of the reasons he believes lie behind the reason that the Other is such a stumbling block in human relations, particular among religious folk.

Hey Ryan, been looking forward to your review of this book.

I just finished reading it and will probably have an Amazon.com review up over the weekend.

Hmm, this looks like a very interesting, and provocative read. Your blurb also framed it quite nicely

"And his vision is no simple syncretism; a blending of all religions into one inoffensive ‘smoothie’ of goodness and light. This book is a celebration of postmodern ‘otherness’ of the first order."

I will definitely pick this up. I look forward to your review as well.

The chain reaction of evil - hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars - must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.
