Thank you for sharing this. What a meaningful way to engage the tragedy of the crucified Christ and allow us all to remember our own doubt, disappointment, and grief. As Peter Rollins says, "we should express our doubts in church and live our faith in the world." (Or something like that.) May you experience the joy of resurrection in the morning.

Sounds like a beautiful service. I'm happy enough to be going to an SDA church that actually acknowledges Easter, so I won't be too picky about the fact that our Easter Sabbath service mashes together Good Friday and Easter Sunday, commemorating the crucifixion and resurrection all at once. But I do love the idea of a service for Great and Holy Saturday (as the Orthodox call it) that acknowledges the apparent absence and the silences of God.
