The new Los Angeles Adventist Forum

I am very excited to announce that our friends at the Glendale City Seventh-day Adventist Church have re-started the Adventist Forum chapter that had died many years ago. It is officially called the Los Angeles Adventist.

As fate would have it, I'm giving the inaugural lecture for the newly formed Los Angeles Forum. I picked a date that would ensure I would not be the first one. But, alas, there was a delay in getting things started and now I am the first.

If you're in the area this Sabbath afternoon I invite you to come to the Glendale City Church (map after the jump) at 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 23. My very auspicious title is:

Missional Church: Recovering Evangelism as Authentic Credible Witness

Do you know if your presentation will be available online or otherwise recorded? I am very interested in the title as our church is about to begin a discussion regarding alternative ideas for evangelism.

I'm not sure what the plan is. I'm hoping they will be recording and if they do, I'll post a link ASAP.

I suppose that means I'd better figure out what I'm going to say! :)
