How sad! He was a prophet! What he said would probably happen if we had gone in the first time around, has happened this time. Power is one of the greatest evils. It can cause us to forget our roots and all logic.

Look, ma, no 9/11 style terrorist attacks since 9/11.

Look, ma, despite all the attempts at misinformation, no link has be proven between Iraq and 9/11. A quagmire by 1994 standards is still a quagmire in 2007/8/9?....

I forgot...9/11 changed everything - including the constitution, the bill of rights, and the whole nature of the middle east. Post 9/11 surely they will greet us as liberators! :)

This is a textbook example of how power corrupts! When we read the famous quote ["Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely."] we usually read it from the outside and think of terrible tyrants. To understand this situation, you must read the qoute from the inside and think about how power corrupts the capacity of leaders to hear and see the truth. And, learn a lesson! This happens to all leaders at all levels unless they take proactive steps to stay in touch with reality. This is "the emporers new clothes" in real life.
