Shortly after our "Waging Peace" event (described in the post just below), I received a call from a reporter, Taashi Rowe, at Adventist News Network. She asked me a few questions about our event, mostly focused on our theological motivation for a peace vigil. I think she has written a good piece. We even have one of our pictures featured there.
You can read the article here.

The Adventist News Network's (ANN) Taashi Rowe penned quite an interesting article. ANN's coverage of your church and others like it, give tremendous encouragement and hope to other Christians (especially Adventists) that there are others like us who truly take heart in the call to "turn swords into plowshares."
We need more individuals in pastoral and leadership positions in the SDA church to take a brave stand in declaring that this war is not simply a "political" or "military" issue, but rather the most pressing MORAL issue facing our generation. Kudos to Hollywood SDA and other Adventist churches who stood with other peace activists several weeks ago to declare that war is not answer.
On a related note, have you thought of making connections with other like minded Adventist veterans of the Afganistan/Iraq wars in strategizing how our church can take an even more pronounced and effective stand against the Iraq misadventure that weaves our Church's historical prophetical call for peace and non-violence?
