For the first time in my life, I attended the Rose Parade! My friends Lavelle Whitehouse and Renee Harms live one and a half blocks from Colorado Blvd. and they graciously invited a bunch of people to eat breakfast as their house and then walk up to the parade, which is exactly what we did! It was great.
The first picture (from my phone) shows Zoe sitting high atop a utility box where she had the best seat in the house! The second one is from a Sophie's-Eye-View. It was really amazing to see the floats in real life. TV just doesn't do it justice. I think we're hooked now!

I am so jealous! Too bad Michigan didn't win...Hopefully Ohio State will step up for the Big 10.

Yeah, I don't have an alma mater to cheer for. I follow both USC and UCLA because they're local. I had some delight in seeing UCLA beat USC earlier this year.

Fight On SC! I had a great time watching the bowl game. It helped me forget what happened the last two times we played there. I am afraid to admit that the six years we lived in the LA area, we never made it to the parade once. We talked about it a couple times. The more serious discussions centered around checking out the floats after the parade, but we didn't even do that.
